How long will it take for my order to be dispatched? 

We aim to dispatch all orders within 48-72 hours from receiving your order. We heavily rely on the efficiency of our suppliers. We aim to hold a number of stock of each item at one time however in the rare event we do not hold stock from our ‘made in Scotland’ suppliers this may result in a delay with your order. We will contact you should this rare event occur. 

I need my order for a guaranteed date, will it arrive? 

We strongly recommend that where possible you order in plenty time of your chosen date to guarantee delivery. We ship with specific couriers which allows us to select dates however this is not always guaranteed.* Please contact us at info@tartan-treats.com prior to order to ensure we can meet your requirements. 

*we cannot be held responsible for delays once your order has left our premises. 

How is my order packaged? 

All of our orders are placed inside one brown or white shipping box. Your items will be placed inside blue tissue paper and sealed with our logo sticker. We will include a free gift message on our branded gift card (single sheeted card with our logo) if you selected this option at checkout. 

I want to send an item as a gift is this possible? 

Yes. We can either ship your order direct to you or your recipient. As our orders are packed in one shipping box we always recommend you ship direct to the recipient in order for them to receive the full effect of their beautiful gift. 

Where are my items made? 

Most of the candy, soda and chips are manufactured in Scotland. We sell a very small range of UK based products. We occasionally sell products that are made out with the UK (usually upon request). 

Majority of our gift type products (cards, bath bombs etc) are made in Scotland. We aim to source small and local businesses in Scotland to bring you quality and unique products that cannot be sourced outwith Scotland. 

What if there is a delay with my order? 

If there is a delay with your order once it has been shipped we recommend you contact the courier, in the first instance. Details of the chosen courier will be provided along with your tracking number upon dispatch. Contacting Tartan Treats Scotland prior to contacting the shipping provider may result in further delays. Should there be any issues please contact us at info@tartan-treats.com 

In the unlikely event there is a delay with the packaging of your product you will be notified at the earliest opportunity. 

How much does shipping cost? 

Shipping rates depend on the weight of your item(s) and your location. Shipping rates are calculated automatically at checkout. We have no control over the shipping costs. These are set by our providers and cover the cost of their drivers and shipping. We aim to keep costs to a minimum and are frequently updating our couriers based on the best level of service as well as timeous delivery at low costs. 

Will I be charged duties and taxes? 

Most countries don’t charge duties on shipments however in some cases taxes are charged upon arrival into the country. Taxes vary and duties charged at the discretion of the relevant Customs Authority. Any taxes and duties imposed are out with the control of Tartan Treats Scotland or any delivery partners. We have no influence or control of any taxes or duties. Any taxes or duties charged are not the responsibility of Tartan Treats Scotland. Duties and taxes will be the responsibility of the receiver. 

Will I have to pay VAT? 

This applies to European Countries. Whilst we aim to cover all fees on our end to allow swift delivery into your chosen country each country has slightly different rules and VAT charges. Unfortunately the rate at which parcels are charged VAT appears to be sporadic. We have no control over the VAT rules and charges and these are set by the relevant Customs authority.
